About
Motivated by bias and discrimination against Muslim youth, Professor Nadia Ansary ‘gives back’ by conducting original primary research to indicate the plight of Muslim youth in this country. Professor Ansary shares this research and explores both problems and solutions with Lynne in this 2 part program Part 1 focuses on the problems of bias-based bullying of Muslim youth. This involves the lack of empathy for others; problems of bias and discrimination for Muslim youth and their families; risk factors and outcomes associated with bullying, cyberbullying and the trauma and pain they cause all children. On a positive note, the session also focuses on the importance of ‘walking in other shoes’; the sharing of experiences, and teaching the Golden Rule.
