Performances by Nikolai Margulis, Cari Joy, R.G. Evans & Mike Dancik and Emme Ryan Nikolai Margulis - Banjoist Nikolai Margulis, a 10th grader at Princeton High School, was first captivated by the banjo when he was 5, on his hometown square in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He picked up the instrument and hasn’t put it down since, performing at the Brevard Music Center as a duo with Béla Fleck, in the Kids Award Show Band at the International Bluegrass Music Association, and as a finalist for the 2022 FreshGrass Banjo Award at MASS MoCA. Cari Joy - Singer - Songwriter Cari Joy has been writing music since she was 14. After receiving her M.A. in Educational Theater from NYU, she moved to Lambertville. Cari has been teaching music for the past 20 years and recently opened her own musical theater space, Ladybug Arts. She is joined on stage tonight by her husband and youngest daughter. R.G. Evans & Mike Dancik - Musical Duo Singer-songwriter R.G. Evans and keyboardist Mike Dancik met out of their shared appreciation for the music of Warren Zevon. Evans and Dancik perform at country clubs and wineries throughout South Jersey. Evans’s first album, Sweet Old Life, is available on most streaming platforms. Since writing her first song at 15, connecting with others through music and lyrics has been her passion. Over the past year, Emme has transitioned her musical style into something that isn’t meant to be boxed in, which has allowed her to make exciting progress within writing, performing, and recording!
