2025
In 2025, CNJN formally launched its flagship program, Community Voices, a Video Journalism Acceleration Program dedicated to empowering civic leaders, local newsrooms, and critical nonprofit organizations. The initiative provides video and podcast production support, strategic guidance, and distribution pathways that elevate underrepresented voices. By combining media training with professional studio access, the Community Voices program has advanced equitable storytelling and reinforced CNJN’s mission to serve communities throughout Central New Jersey.
2024
In 2024, CNJN relocated to its prime headquarters at 1 West State Street in the capital city, completing major studio improvements that significantly enhanced production quality and capacity. The organization sharpened its focus on community journalism and public-interest storytelling. With invaluable support from the New Jersey Civic Information Consortium (NJCIC), CNJN expanded its technical resources and formed new partnerships with nonprofits across Trenton, strengthening the city’s local information ecosystem.
2023
On May 17, Trenton and Mercer County community members, along with media professionals, celebrated the grand opening of the Central New Jersey Network (CNJN) studio at One West State Street, Trenton, in the First Trenton National Bank building. The event included a multimedia presentation, ribbon-cutting, and dedication by Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora.
2022
In 2022, Central New Jersey Network (CNJN) moved out of Princeton Municipality and established its main studio at 23 Orchard Road in Skillman, NJ. This relocation marks a significant step in CNJN’s growth and expansion, enhancing its capacity to serve the community with improved facilities and resources.
2020
In early 2020, Princeton Community Television announced its relaunch as Central New Jersey Network (CNJN). Comprised of local business leaders from Somerset and Mercer counties, CNJN provides local, national, and international news coverage. It is also one of the largest public producers of original content in New Jersey, delivering programs featuring local business, educational, nonprofit, and legislative leaders, offering perspectives on important and timely topics.
1995
Princeton Community Television (Princeton TV or TV30) is a PEG cable TV channel in Princeton, NJ. Founded in 1995 by the Borough and Township of Princeton, it began in two small rooms in The Arts Council building, moved to the old Valley Road School in 2003, and relocated to the former Borough Hall in 2013. Airing on Comcast channel 30 and Verizon FIOS channel 45, it provides the community with camera equipment, TV studios, and training.
